PROS
  • Extremely Compact: Folds down to just 15 inches, making it perfect for travel and easy storage.
  • Durable Construction: Made from strong, aircraft-grade aluminum that withstands pressure and impact.
  • Lightweight Design: At only 11.5 ounces per pole, they won’t weigh you down on long treks.
  • Comfortable Cork Grips: Ergonomic grips absorb sweat and provide a comfortable, non-slip hold.
CONS
  • Conflicting Material Information: The product text has a typo listing "Carbon Fiber" in the specs, which contradicts the primary description of aluminum construction.
  • Heavier Than Premium Options: While lightweight, they are heavier than high-end carbon fiber poles, which may be a factor for ultralight purists.
  • External Locks: The metal flip-locks, while secure, are external and can occasionally catch on brush compared to internal twist-lock systems.

Very good “sticks” at affordable price
These are very sturdy and comfortable and weight is not an issue. Well made and very easy to initially set up, good directions. Foldable and small carry not a strong consideration for a couple 80 yr. olds for neighborhood and woodland walks. We’ll leave them set up and ready to go.What we appreciate the most is an improvement in walking speed, improved physical posture, stability and the willingness to get out and about quite often. Arthritis and joint replacement has taken it’s toll over the yearsYes we highly recommend these and they won’t break the bank. Reclaiming our life again.

    Happy happy
Love them. I can walk much easier with these. I can walk for exercise where without them I couldn’t. Even my family noticed the difference

Good tight design, easy to assemble and disassemble and collapse to 15″.
These poles are a nice rugged design, and collapse to 15 inches, which was important for travel. UNFORTUNATELY, one of the cables which hold the poles together, was entirely detached from the handle and not fixable by the end user. FORTUNATELY, I sent it back with Amazon’s guarantee, and received replacement poles TWO DAYS later, and these are perfect.

    Find the Directions
I didn’t see the instructions in the bag so I had to get the poles together on my own without ruining them. When I found the instructions, I was able to set the poles up to a height that worked very well for me. The assembly was easy once I had the instructions.

    Great poles
After back surgery my surgeon told me not to use a cane because it causes you to bend as you walk versus walking poles force you to walk upright. I really like the grips on these poles.

    Saved my knee
I’ve had these poles for about a year and I have to say that it’s probably one of the best gear investments I’ve made. I decided to upgrade to an ultralight trekking pole tent and obviously needed poles, so I ordered these. They definitely function for that purpose but I had no idea what I was missing before I ordered them. I used to think trekking poles were kind of silly, but then I injured my knee pretty badly on a overnight trip up a mesa. I had to descend around 1000 feet over about a mile first thing in the morning before hiking another five miles over rough terrain to the car, all on an injured knee with a loaded pack. The only reason I made it back to the car unassisted was because of these poles. They’re super sturdy, very packable, and overall a great value. I have yet to have any trouble with them, but for the price, I’d gladly replace them if I did. There are definitely lighter poles out there, but since I use mine for hiking pretty continuously, weight is less of an issue. No regrets on this purchase.

    Solid staff, EXCELLENT value
I use a staff when I fly fish because I am old and fat. I had one for several years made by Fishpond and it broke. This staff is engineered exactly like the Fishpond unit. It collapses to exactly the same dimensions and fits perfectly in the old Fishpond sheath, which is very convenient. Simms and Orvis sell their “Pro” wading staffs for over $200. I’d put this staff up against those units any day. This is my best Amazon purchase of 2025!

Handle is a little slim for me
I would give these five stars if the handle was a little beefier so that it fit my hand better. Otherwise, this is a very well designed pole and I love how easy it is to adjust the height and that it doesn’t have the three “knobs” sticking out as most others do. I am a six foot male, average build, for reference. My wife has the Cascade(?) poles from Costco, and although the handles look about the same when you hold them side by side, the Cascade poles have a slightly thicker and grippier feel to them. So, we switched poles for now. These poles are “daintier” (not in a quality sense, but more in an aesthetic sense – sleeker, in a good way), so it will be a good trade, I think.

I sometimes need a little help with mobility, and as I get older, that need becomes a little more. I don’t like to use or carry a more traditional cane, but these hiking poles take the place of one. In fact, they go quite a bit further in terms of use and storage.First, I must say that I was able to get a good deal for some reason, because the price of the Grey ones were about half the price of the Black ones. No idea why, and I didn’t care that much about the colour. Keep your eyes open for such a price break.Rather than having a fixed height of a cane, these hiking poles allow you adjust the height in seconds. You can use the pole higher or lower, and that difference – that ability to change the height every once in a while – makes a difference to me.The other advantage I like, is that with several seconds, I can fold the pole up into a very short, compact size. It could slip into a deep pocket, or even held in your hand. It can be so much easier than trying to store a full sized cane. The other option that you have, are different “feet”. You can use a variety of different tips depending on what surface your are moving over. There is one for snow – very large and flat, a carbide tip and a rubber tip. It would not surprise me that other kinds of tips are available, too.Round this out with a cork handle and a variable sized strap for your hand. Yes, it does take a little practice to figure out how to fold it up – well, it did for me! – but you’ll get the hang of it quickly.Bottom line – a wonderful alternative to a traditional cane, with many features you will not find in the average cane. Be sure to take a good look – it could be a real change in your life!

I particularly wanted a pair of lightweight collapsible poles which would help support me when generally walking around. I have just returned from 3 days in Prague where all the streets are cobbled. Once I had got to grips with the mechanism for collapsing and opening the poles, which was in fact very easy, the 3 of us, 2 poles and me, got on very well . If I was on the bus they were very easy to collapse down and pit in my rucksack and when in use they coped will with the uneven surface. Lightweight, strong and dependable.
