    Good Salomon knock off
To start off im a pretty novice runner so take my review with a grain of salt. I average about 15-20 miles a week. I was looking for something for my long runs to carry things i might take on my runs (most importantly water). Anyone looking into buying a Salomon vest bust can’t afford it- this seems like a great alternative. I would recommend buying an additional water bottle that fits if you need more water. This has nice pockets/zippered pockets. Lightweight and fits well. It doesn’t bother me during the runs. Ive never bought a Salomon, but I imagine it’s close enough for the money you save.

    Solid Gear for Staying Hydrated
I’ve been looking for a way to carry water on my runs and hikes without it sloshing around or feeling awkward. This running vest pretty much nailed it for me, and that’s why I’m giving it a solid five stars. What I like most is how this vest fits. The adjustable chest straps are key. I can cinch it down so it doesn’t bounce, even when I’m moving at a good clip. It’s surprisingly lightweight too; I barely notice it’s there after a few minutes. The included 500ml soft flask is a good starting point for hydration. It’s easy to drink from and tucks away nicely. Plus, there’s enough pocket space for my phone, keys, and maybe a small snack, which is really handy. The reflective bits are a nice touch for those early morning or late evening outings, adds a bit of peace of mind. Now, if I had to pick at something, the soft flask, while convenient, might not be enough water for a really long, hot Texas day out on the trails. But for my typical runs and shorter hikes, it’s perfectly adequate, and there’s usually room to tuck in another small bottle if I really need it. The material seems durable enough so far, and it breathes pretty well, which is a big deal down here. The reason this gets five stars from me is simple: it does exactly what I need it to do, and it does it well. It’s comfortable, doesn’t get in the way, holds my essentials, and helps me stay hydrated without any fuss. It just works, and makes my runs and hikes a bit more enjoyable. Good piece of equipment.

    Well Designed
I used this vest for the first time this morning. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to get it to fit right, but once done, I found if very comfortable and useful. There’s a little half liter collapsible fluid container that has a bite valve instead of a pop up valve. What that means is that as I would take a drink, the flask would shrink down. When I filled it up, I wanted ice in there, so I had to crush the ice to make it fit through the opening. Fortunately, my fridge has a crusher feature, so that worked out okay. I had been concerned that the vest would get hot, but so far so good. Something I really appreciate is the phone pocket. In the past, I had to think about buying running gear that had pockets for my huge phone, but now I can wear those cute skorts I have several of which have no pocket at all. There is room in the front pockets for a Powerbar or whatever I want to carry for long runs. I can tuck a bandana in there for wiping my face, or any number of other things I like to carry. For instance, I have a foldable water bowl for my dog. This little vest is well designed, functional, and comfortable.

    No buckles and no rubbing
I had an old Nathan running hydration pack with side buckles. On any run where I wore short sleeves the buckle would rub. I wanted to try a vest, but not for big money. This one fits the bill. No buckles and no rubbing. Pockets easily hold phone, keys and snack without feeling awkward. Closure is easy to adjust. Back pocket DID hold a 1.5 L hydration bladder, but just barely (I made it work). It’s clearly not really intended to accommodate the bladder, since there is no way to secure the bite tube, but again, it can be made to work. The collapsible flask that came with the vest works and doesn’t impart any weird flavors to the water. It’s not pretty but it functions well and holds everything needed for up to a half marathon.
