Habit Nest Bodyweight Journal is just what I needed.
As someone that at my age has tried all sorts of exercise programs, I am finding the Bodyweight Home Workout Series just what I needed. The daily journal is perfect to get motivated and stay on track. The video’s that one can link to also are helpful. I am modifying a few due to my age, but I am still sweating! My goal is to do all 65 days, and not necessary every day, but to do all 65 days.

    Great item
I took this with me to my trainer, since it is very similar to what I already do. He told me it was good for me to do at home. He told me to add my weights to get slightly more resistance and strength because of where I am at in my training. But its good.

Overall a good investment to incorporate strength training into my life. Recommend.
Been using it only a week. Not getting to it every day, but have done 4 workouts.I like the spiral bound format. Arrived in perfect shape, plastic wrapped.Exercises are easy to follow using the instructions in the back of the book and the videos/instructions accessed by using the QR code. For me, thusfar, I’ve seen videos for some of these QR codes and written text/images for some. Either has been sufficient for me to understand what I need to do safely and with good form. Probably helps that I have some history of working out/lifting.I have found that there is one exercise for most workouts that either doesn’t make sense to me or I don’t do for another reason. I just skip it, still working the muscles indicated well. For example, curtsy lunges are not safe for my knees, so I didn’t do them. In that case, I chose to do standard lunges, so was able to adapt the workout to work for me.Five Stars for customer service. Embedded in the book is an email address to send to for a bonus gift. The email address didn’t work, so I emailed customer service asking if they could honor the gift. Got a reply back in a few hours, got the gift. What would make me give it 5 stars?Videos for all exercises (not just written with pictures).More space to write things down – for example, I mentioned above that I substituted standard lunges for curtsy lunges and wanted to note that, not much room to do so.More space somehow to document other exercise. There is a small space for documenting cardio on same day as bodyweight strength training, but I’d like to be able to add cardio/yoga etc to off days as well.Less “no mercy always work out” rhetoric at the beginning. I can certainly take that with a grain of salt, I’ve worked out before and am a grown up, but I can see that it might be off putting for someone new and struggling to keep up.I did purchase this in a package with the dumbell workouts book. That looks to be similar, and I’m looking forward to moving on to that book after completing this book. All together, for me, that’s about a year of strength training, and I love that I can track it and see where I came from. In fact, I expect to circle back to this book after finishing both and do more reps/more sets, which will continue to build on what I’ve done.Would overall recommend, especially if you’ve done some strength training in the past and do not have any pre-existing injuries. Definitely want to work with PT or a good doctor/NP/PA to work around active injuries, but that is true for any workout regimen.

    Great daily workout journal
This workout journal is exactly what I was looking for. I really look forward to my daily workouts. I like to use the qr codes to make sure I am using the correct form and I also like reading the advice and suggestions about getting the most from the daily session. Each daily workout takes me about 45 minutes to an hour to complete. On the days that I am super busy, I will do the optional 15 minute workout. I am so glad I found this journal. I am feeling stronger and I actually enjoy doing these workouts.

Organized, effective exercises for weeks. Some can be a bit tricky.
This book is so user friendly. It’s a personal trainer in a book with QR code videos to see every exercise modeled for you. If you don’t have time to do the whole workout, they have a 15 min workout option in the QR as well. The layout is great for notes and reflection. The only thing that could make this book better is having modified exercise options available in the QR code. If you’re obese/out of shape, using body weight as resistance can be very challenging in some of these poses. I’ve worked with a personal trainer before and incorporate alternate exercises to replace the ones I can’t do, but in the end this book is still working great for me as it provides weeks of muscle groups/ exercises all scheduled and ready to go.

It’s motivating me to work out, but there are lots of little things I would change
What I like: tangeble book with place for notes, variety of movement, place to put previous PR in later repeat of exercise. What I don’t like: it assumes you have 40-60 minutes to work out at a time – I’m much more of a 15-20 minutes in the morning person, so I end up doing 3 sets instead of four, and do 1/2 of the work outs per day. This has been good, but wish there was flexibility in the journal to match reality of people’s lives. I do like using small free weights in some of the exercises , wish it called out ones where they can be used with a symbol in the workout instead of having to flip to the back information. Also, if you scan the little QR codes it does have a 15 minute “lite” workout, but the exercises don’t match up with the book, and defeats the journal imo. I do not care for a majority of the print being gray instead of black, nice aesthetic, but hard to read without full light on. Overall this is not for someone who has never worked out before, but is perfect for someone like me who knows the drill, just can’t seem to stay on track / stay motivated long enough to actually improve my overall fitness level!

The actual content of the book may be good, but the quality of the binding is very low. I ordered a copy and it arrived broken – the cover was completely torn away from the pages. I returned it and ordered a new copy. The new copy arrived damaged as well, as you can see in the picture. It was for a gift, so it’s completely useless to me in this condition. For the price, I would expect a product that isn’t falling apart from the start.

I ordered this book 3 times. The first one I received the spine on the book was completely detached. I returned for a refund assuming it was damaged in transit. Stuff happens. I re-ordered…the second was apparently ‘undeliverable’ so it was returned by the carrier. I re-ordered. Again. The third one looks like the photos….dirty, absolutely no cover….so I am guessing it’s the first one I ordered with the broken spine!?!? Terrible terrible. Whoever packed this to ship out needs glasses and a whole bag of common sense.
