RENPHO Body Measuring Tape: Smart Weight Loss Tool

Perfect to track my weight loss journey
Bought this to keep track on measurements while losing weight. Its perfect becasue you can sync it to your phone and it will track it for you. I bought the Renpho smart scale as well and they work beautifully together. It was inexpensive and easy to use. You do not have to download the free app, but it’s exciting to see the graph drop during your journey.

The battery comes separate from the tool and a screwdriver is needed to open the battery case.
Handy. I am seriously overweight right now, and I am in the process of trying to lose those extra pounds. It is handy to keep track of different measurements — how certain body parts are shrinking with all the weight loss, and this measuring tape is handy to do this. Unlike a standard tape measure, this device will give me an exact number that I can track. I haven’t tried the app.My only complaint is that this tool comes with the battery uninstalled, and you need a precision screwdriver to open the battery case. So, if you don’t have one on hand, maybe consider buying one at the same time. Precision screwdriver kits are relatively inexpensive; you might even have one if you have a set of glasses or watch screwdrivers.

I’ve been losing weight and wanted to be able to track inches lost in addition to pounds lost. This tape measure is so much easier to use than trying to use an analog tape. An added side benefit is that it’s made it much easier to buy my clothes on Amazon in the right size because I always have my measurements available In the app!To use, simply pull the tape around the part you’re trying to measure and insert the end back into the body of the device. Press a button to auto-tighten the tape around that body part, then click to measure. The measurement will auto-populate the body part you’ve selected in the app. The app will record your changes over time so you can see your progress. It also allows you to add body parts. For example, chest is pre-defined but bust is not. I was able to easily add “bust” and now it is always there for me.This was a good value – if nothing else it has saved me time and money not having to make returns on clothes that don’t fit me!

Not as easy as it looks
I have the smart scale and love it. I’m not nearly as impressed with the tape measure. It takes some jiggling and jamming to get the end connected to the unit. Once you get it to stay looped you have to keep positioning it while you tighten it. Tightening should be a smooth retracting, but I’m finding I almost have to feed it back in.I had some trouble getting the measurements assigned to the right body part, but I think that is probably a learning curve.For the cost, I don’t feel I made a great purchase. It doesn’t make measuring by myself any easier, but I do like the tracking features of the app.Because I had to manually enter the numbers anyway, I’d rate the free app much higher than the tape measure .

Very easy to use and works well! So much easier than having to write down measurements.

Works well and easy to use especially if you are doing the measurements yourself. Very accurate and the app is the biggest advantage as you don’t need to jot down the figures. Plotting your progress is made even easier.
