Our Recommendations

This system is highly recommended for individuals at any stage of their fitness journey. For beginners, we suggest starting with all four bands attached to get a feel for the movement and maintain proper form. As your strength increases, progressively remove bands to decrease the assistance. For advanced athletes, use the bands to perform extra reps after reaching muscle fatigue or for burnout sets to maximize your workout.

The Pull-Up Assistance Bands set is an effective and well-made tool for anyone looking to build the strength required for unassisted pull-ups. Its high degree of adjustability and robust safety features make it a standout choice for both beginners and seasoned fitness enthusiasts. While some users may find it inconvenient or uncomfortable, its overall performance, ease of setup, and ability to facilitate real strength gains make it a valuable addition to any home gym.

    Great quality
Exactly what I needed to help me with pull ups. Works very well and is comfortable. The large foot strap keeps the band in place very well.

    Very helpful
Great system, comfortable to use with a knee or a foot in sling. The cords are super stretchy. I only use two that have been very helpful in my fitness.

    Solid product that works well
Works well. Built solid. That said, I have only been using it about a month so I don’t know how durable it really is. I recommend.

I find the bands reliable and the product itself. The straps are strong and the covering over the bands is also solid and respectable so it’ll protect the band and if it ever snaps it won’t be able to explode in your face. I think the outside material would probably prevent the band from overstretching too which would decrease the likelihood of it breaking. I think bands are also susceptible to sunlight and become brittle and dry but that outside covering might do a good job of preventing that as well. The place to put your is alright the way it is. If it was flat you could probably stand on it more easily and it wouldn’t squeeze your feet together but I don’t think it’s much of a problem. The straps and carabiner and stuff feels strong and durable so isn’t any worry for me of breaking any of it since I’m only 130 pounds.I got this to work on 1 arm pullups and muscle ups but I don’t feel that it helps much with muscle ups because it shoots you up but then stops providing assistance right before the transition so you kinda crap out before you do the transition. I honestly find it easier to do muscle ups without it. It kinda ruins the flow and momentum and doesn’t let you use the right angles so you’re forced to go up strict without the right kind of swing so I just feel a lot weaker once the assistance ends and can’t do much from there. It’s a weird thing. Theoretically it should give a lot of extra boost and even if the assist ends because you’re too high up for the band to be pulling you, you’d expect that the boost would have you flying so you can just supplement it with your strength and fly over the bar but it just doesn’t work out that way in practice. For 1 arm chinup training or regular pullups though it’s good and can give you the help you might need at the starting position, tho likely nothing at the ending position. I don’t think there’s much you can do to adjust the length beyond the few notches on the yellow strap which won’t be enough to give assistance throughout the whole movement. It’s fine and probably better that way but some might not be able to use it as they’d want.Overall there’s nothing to dislike about the build quality and the functionality and if you need it for training it’s a lot sturdier and more reliable than a basic band if you plan on using it often. Otherwise a band would do just as well but might get brittle and snap over time whereas this one likely wont.

I recently purchased this pull-up bar strap and have mixed feelings about it. The materials seem sturdy enough, and it does work as expected for the most part.My main issue, though not really the product’s fault, is that it’s too long for my doorway-mounted pull-up bar. I have to wrap the strap around multiple times to make it functional; otherwise, when fully extended, my feet touch the floor. This product would probably work better with gym-style pull-up bars or ones mounted higher than a standard door frame.I’m also slightly concerned about the durability. There’s a section where springs attach to rubber pieces at both ends of the black material, which appears to be glued. Since this connection point is partially hidden, I can’t tell if the actual spring is securely attached or just glued. Every time I use it, I worry a bit about it suddenly detaching and potentially whipping back at me. That said, it might be more securely attached than it appears.Overall, it’s a decent product that works, but perhaps not ideal for doorway pull-up bars due to the length issue.

I’ve always wanted to do pull-ups, but I’ve never had the strength for it. The instructions for this were simple and in pictures, and I was able to get started quickly. This has allowed me to do at least 30 pull-ups today, most of them in a public park. I really wanted to test it, but I shouldn’t do too many more when I’m just starting. The carabiner is made of thick metal. The straps are wide and strong. The four resistance bands (2 x 75 lbs and 2 x 55 lbs) are strong and flexible, and the foot rest is strong. Everything is well made and I feel secure using this.If you want to do pull-ups, I recommend this.

At the time of writing this review, this set of chin up resistance bands costs $59.99. There is currently a coupon for $10 off for a total discounted price of $49.99.I want to get back into chin ups, but it’s been so long since I have done them I can’t anymore. I am going to slowly build myself back up to being able to do chin ups like I used to.This kit comes with almost everything I could want to get back into this. Being 200lbs, this kit has enough resistance to hold up my entire weight (which I can also use as a push resistance exercise as well). I love that I can do chin ups with almost no effort right now. With the 4 bands, you get the following weight resistances:55 lbs75 lbs110 lbs130 lbs150 lbs185 lbs205 lbs260 lbsI am actually pretty happy with the level of resistance provided, although the gaps are kind of large and may make progression difficult.I like the ruggedness and the strength of the bands. I feel comfortable putting my entire body weight on them without worrying about destroying them or hurting myself. They are comfortable and fun to use. 100% recommended.5/5 stars.

I recently installed my doorframe pull-up bar, and while chin-ups and pull-ups are manageable, I find wide grip pull-ups extremely difficult. These were able to lend a helping band (bad pun intended)! There are four bands included, along with the strap that goes over the bar, the harness to secure under your feet, and a bag for storage. The bands have 55lbs (x2), and 75lbs (x2) of resistance, and you can use any combination of the four. So whether you need a little bit of help, or a lot, these will help you reach your pull-up goals!Excellent value, and highly recommended!
