Conclusion
The ProtoArc EC100 is a strong contender in the ergonomic office chair market, especially for big and tall users. Its major selling point is the exceptionally comfortable and innovative spring cushion, which delivers on its promise of all-day support. While the lack of manual lumbar adjustment might be a dealbreaker for those who prefer precise control, the chair’s overall build quality, ease of assembly, and adaptive support are impressive. If you prioritize superior seat comfort and reliable back support in a generously sized chair, the EC100 offers excellent value.

Very comfortable and sturdy PC or desk chair at a remarkable price
Very well designed and built, heavy-weight (good) construction, also with EXCELLENT assembly instructions. (The two of us did it in about 30 minutes). Extremely comfortable. The only quibble — we wish the seat bottom could be tilted, as the fixed “stock” position is slightly too tilted towards the front. Superb back support, great arm-rests . . . and over all very high quality, especially for its price.

Adjustable arms are easy to use
Very easy to put together! I’m able to adjust the arms to match my desk. It works for me

First Impressions – not bad!
BLUF: For the price this is a good value. I’m writing this review on day one of using this chair. These are my first impressions. Assembly was okay. I recommend using the box the chair came in to help act as a jig to help with assembly. I should have watched the assembly video instead of relying only on the documentation. The documentation is okay and the parts are well labeled. The included hex driver is very good and one of the best and exceeded my expectations for this price range. This is an important detail because all too often OEMs include a crappy hex driver which makes assembly unpleasant. As for comfort. It’s only day one but in my experience when you first sit in a chair you know if it’s going to be good or bad. And with a little adjustment this chair is making my back happy. I have bad back issues and sitting in this chair I can feel my back feeling better. The lumbar support for my body seems to be working. The main cushion feels supportive. So overall for the price point: not bad! I would recommend this if your looking for a lower price chair. However at this price don’t expect too much in the way of tailored adjustments. I also recommend upgrading the castors.

great for bigger people!
Best Chair i’ve had at my desk for a while, as a large 6 foot individual it is very comfortable! – Easy to put together, takes about an hour / 2 hours

Nice seat cushion, but not as comfortable as I had hoped.
I watched a video review that I swore was the same product, but it appears to just look identical. You can’t lock the mechanism for the back, you can only have it locked straight up, or unlock it and just lean back, and it takes effort to push it backwards. (Like a rocking chair) The piece that goes behind your lower back was uncomfortable, I ended up removing it and putting a small blanket there instead so my back doesn’t touch the plastic. Also you can’t rotate the arm rests, which was disappointing. The seat cushion is nice, though. Not exactly the product I hoped for, but it’s better than the broken chair I was using.

Well made and easy on my back
This chair is well built, comfortable and has good lumbar support for my back. The lumbar support looks like it would be way too much but it is soft buy firm and provides just the right amount of support. My old chair was good but lacked lumbar support and my aging back needs that support.A good value for the price.

It looks nice but that’s about it.
This chair is not comfortable for prolonged sitting, more than 3-4 hrs. I weigh 170ish lbs and while sitting down, it squeaks every time you move. Also not able to adjust the arm rest front/back. Not able to adjust the Lumbar support vertically, which is important to consider for tall people. It looks nice and has good head rest support but that’s about it.

Lumbar support is not where it should be.
In my opinion the lumbar support is way too low, even for a short person. It is not adjustable. You won’t notice how out of place it is until the entire thing is built rendering a return not achievable.Overall it is a budget chair. It didn’t take long to assemble since there are not that many parts. The quick instructions misses some pieces that you can’t add later. I’ll make it work for now but I have to say it’s a bit disappointing.

Really impressed with this chair. I’ve had this now for around 6 months and bought it to replace an old desk chair that had no back support at all. This chair gives a lot of back and lumbar support which is great when working from home all day.Plenty of adjustment. The only expecting would be the head rest, I find that the adjustment is slightly limited.Overall impressed with the build quality and the support it provides!
