Our Recommendations

We recommend starting with a set of multiple bands so you can adjust resistance as your strength improves. Beginners may start with Red or Black, while intermediate users will benefit from Purple or Green. For maximum support during pull-ups or advanced strength training, Blue is ideal. Use them in combination with a door anchor or dumbbells for even more workout variations.

    I’m happy!
Seems to be of good quality, and comes with little booklet that shows many exercises that can be done with it. It handles well using it for pull-ups giving it a full stretch for assist. It tucks inside a little baggy for storage, or useful for exercising while travelling. Great addition to add any exercise routine. I’m very impressed with the handling and performance of this band.

    Great product
We have used this over and over and have recommended this to others. Wait until the sale and then pick it up then. Holds well and doesn’t break down as some cheaper made ones. For the price point you can’t beat these heavy bands

    Bands work as expected
Bands are good but I didn’t like that the carrying bag handle ripped within 24 hours.

    Heavy Duty Bands
I’ve had these for a while now, so I thought I’d come back and review them.I purchased the 4 pack (Green, Purple, Black, Red) mainly to help my wife with pull-ups/chin-ups, but I find myself also using them for things like assisted 1-arm pushups, assisted 1-arm chinups, leg abduction movements for warming up before squats, etc.Another movement I found these useful for is the ab wheel. My ab wheel has two wheels on it and I was able to move the wheels away from the center so there is a gap between them and can put a band in the middle. I put the other end of the band under my knees and can now use the ab wheel assisted. It’s a pretty hard movement if you’re using good form, so the bands really help you progress to the point where you can use the wheel unassisted (and not collapse). You could also use the bands to help get more reps in if you were trying to do higher reps. There is a range of weight that the manufacturer lists for each band, but it’s actually not that helpful. I like data, so I used a hanging scale (like a luggage scale) to test the resistance each band is giving when doing a chin-up, using both the foot as the anchor point (leg straight) and the knee as the anchor point (leg would be bent). My wife is 5’6″, and I tested the bands using her range of motion on the chin-up. A taller person would get more help from the band as the band would be stretched further, and a shorter person would get less help.At the bottom of the chin-up with the leg straight (so that you’re basically standing on the band and the other end is attached to the bar) the green band is removing 55lbs from your chin-up (assuming you’re 5’6″) and when you reach the top of the chin-up it is removing 40lbs (as it is less stretched at this point). The purple band removes 45lbs at the bottom and 32lbs at the top. The black band removes 29lbs at the bottom and 20lbs at the top. The red band removes 20lbs at the bottom and 13lbs at the top. Keep in mind that this is for someone who is 5’6″ and this is a full range of motion, from arms completely straight all the way up to the chin over the bar. As you can see though, the progression is actually not that extreme. Going from using the green band to the purple band would be a 15lbs difference at the bottom of the chin-up. If that progression is too much for a person, they could just hang a 5lbs plate from their waist to help get stronger before they switch to a new band so that they are effectively adding 5lbs to the exercise. If you bend your knee and place the bands under your knee the weights are…Green: 40lbs at the bottom of the chin-up, 9lbs at the topPurple: 33lbs at the bottom of the chin-up, 6lbs at the topBlack: 18lbs at the bottom of the chin-up, 3lbs at the topRed: 12.5lbs at the bottom of the chin-up, 2lbs at the topPersonally I would use the band under my foot instead of my knee as that is the form I use when I am not using a band. You can also use these to progress on regular pushups (if you are unable to do pushups). The trick is finding a place to anchor the band. I use a squat rack so that the band is horizontal stretching from one side to the other. This way you can do pushups with the band under your midsection, or 1-arm pushups. You can increase the amount of help the band is giving by raising the pins on the squat rack higher so that the band is higher off the floor (which increases the amount it is stretching). If you don’t have a squat rack you will have to be creative and figure out how to anchor the band between two points.

    Rubber Power !
I’ve used these for quite awhile now and they will give you results, there are a ton of exercises out there on YOUTUBE. Very simple way to get some exercise on vacation, business trip or wherever you go as they are very portable and easy to take with you. They don’t replace the gym but are an addition if you can’t or don’t like going to one, I find they are a very economical way to get fit.
