Excellent resource
I enjoy working out but I am essentially self taught regarding proper lifts and form and things like that. After getting more serious the last couple years I noticed I would have random aches that would put me out of the gym for awhile so I decided to get this book (along with a few others) as a way to visualize what was happening to my body as I was doing various exercises. This book is excellent for that. The pictures are highly detailed and the information is very thorough. There are several different categories and there is even a rating system for different exercises that could give newcomers an idea about how advanced a particular exercise is before trying it. And then it’s great because if something is advanced you can look at the muscles needed for that lift and then look for a more intermediate exercise to get those muscles up to par. Seriously a great resource, highly recommend.

A helpful book to anyone wanting to get serious about fitness
I ordered the book based on a friend’s advice about strength training when I began hitting plateaus. I was skeptical, but once reading the book, I quickly realized where my workouts were coming up short, and why I was hitting plateaus. If used properly, it is a powerful addition to anyone’s collection to build proper workouts, understanding how and which muscles are being worked while doing specific exercises. Using the book and studying my workout, I was able to change my workout, and make it much better by exchanging exercises, and avoid over working some groups, while neglecting others.

Great mix of anatomy and exercise reccomendations
This is a great book for people interested in fitness or physical therapy who do not know a lot about muscle anatomy beyond the basics. The book is mostly focused on the anatomy, but also gives many exercises to do and shows how each exercise works a variety of specific muscles. The diagrams and descriptions are very well made and thorough. Even for more advanced experts, I could see this book being a great reference to go back to. The only negative thing I would say is that some of the descriptions of how to perform the exercises could be a little more thorough. Otherwise, great book!

Important Info found here
This book breaks down the muscle groups in your body. It helps us understand what actual muscles are sore after workout or any activity. I got so I better understand tge recent Bicep re-attachment surgery a few weeks ago and how I’ll recover. What I should do and what I SHOULDN’T Do during my recovery. It’s a bargain.
