Good for going!
I’m transitioning from using the Benefiber single fiber packs that are 12 bucks or so for 30 packs. I was thinking I wasn’t going to like this because the first day of use didn’t really do much for me, so I switched to two tea spoons in my smoothie and I have already had 2 regular bowl movements today without strain. I was looking for something else because although the Benefiber workers very well it made me very gassy and bloated. I do not get that same level of gas or bloat with this product, and the stool is definitely a lot firmer and complete when using the bathroom. With the Benefiber, although I was going it always felt like I was never finished and cutting off midway, very soft stools. Should anything change I will update here, but so far with this second day I feel pretty happy with the purchase. I put the powder is smoothies so I don’t have that dissolving issue that the coffee drinkers are mentioning, it’s definitely taste-free and unnoticeable. No smell, worth the price I paid to avoid the gas.

It works!
Has worked great for me. It dissolves easily into my drinks, no added flavor. I cannot drink the regular metamucil due to the additives and health issues. I am glad this is an option for me.

Gentle and effective
As someone who is chronically constipated, this is a great supplement to take regularly. It increased my bowel movement frequency just enough. Not the same as milk of magnesia, but that’s not what I wanted anyway.Taste is great, since there is no taste.

Clumpy clumpy
Works but clumps up. Its not a pretty site I even had chunks of it get in my mouth…it has no taste but the texture is gross. Very gummy I won’t buy again

An excellent regulating product especially for seniors.
Best product I have used. Clear and non-tasting product which I mix in the morning in one of my juices. Great for regularity for older people in particular. Two came in the package which brought the cost much lower than buying in pharmacies or even Walmart.

Not as effective as the orange Metamucil
A longtime user of orange flavored Metamucil, I tried the unflavored one after receiving a diagnosis of acid reflux and was told to avoid all citric acid. The unflavored Metamucil mixes very well in water and is completely smooth. It has no flavor and does not thicken in any liquid. All wonderful pluses.When I did not get the desired results with one dose, I increased to using it twice a day. I also added prunes. Despite all these efforts, this product did not work as well for me as the old one. Since it was causing more complications that I won’t get into in this review, I went back to the orange flavored Metamucil, which did the trick after two spoonfuls.

Fiber, fiber everywhere!
When his doctor recommended a high fiber diet to help with his stomach issues we discovered this was a good way to augment his food selections. I make homemade chicken vegetable soup weekly and we add this to each serving. It dissolves easily when the soup is heated just like it does in his oatmeal. We were a little disappointed though when trying to add it to something cold or a drink and found it to be grainy. But on the whole, he is very happy with the effect this has on his digestion.

Improvement from the original!
I was anticipating the sometimes grainy feel of the original formula metamucil, but I was happily incorrect. As long as it’s mixed well enough, you can hardly tell it’s any different then normal water, if at all!
