Seems solid
Easy install. Nice soft grips. Barely fit over my garage door. Ended up ripping out plastic top pieces to make it shorter but did not need to cut foam off on the outside of handle. The prices for pull up bars seem to be insane for what they are but that is another topic.

Very Nice Bar for the Price
The bar is made of a very sturdy material, and has all the bolts you need to set it up. Assembly and setup is easy. My only criticism is that the bolts on the handle are right where you put your hands to grip to do chin-ups. These can be abrasive on the fingers, and actually prevent me from getting my hand around the bar properly without discomfort. Otherwise, the bar is a good purchase.

Terrible Instructions, Unsecure Fittings – Do Not Buy!
This pull-up bar is a complete disaster. The so-called “installation instructions” are practically nonexistent—there’s barely any guidance on whether it needs to be drilled or how to secure it properly. Even the YouTube video they provide is useless; it skips crucial steps, leaving you guessing. To make matters worse, the screw-on fittings just keep revolving and never actually lock in place, making the entire setup unstable and unsafe. I’ve wasted way too much time trying to figure this out, and it still doesn’t feel secure enough to use. For a product that’s supposed to support body weight, this is a major flaw.Save yourself the frustration and money—look for a better-designed pull-up bar with proper instructions and sturdy construction. This one is a total fail!

This review assumes that you’re looking for an affordable pull up bar and understand that it comes with some compromises as compared to the expensive ones. For example, if you want a solid bar with no seams, you probably have to pay way more.I wanted to get better at pull ups and the only way to do that is to do more pull ups. Unfortunately, the way my house is built the only option I had was to get a joist mounted bar and put it up in my laundry room.Assembly of the bar itself was easy. Installation was a bit more complicated because I have metal ceiling joists. The included hardware is for wood/concrete mounting only. So, I had to make a run to the hardware store to get some nuts and lock bolts. The bar works well for doing pull ups. It has a variety of hand placement options to accommodate anything from wide grip to narrow grip. How much extension you can get at the top will be a YMMV situation depending on how much headroom you have. If that’s really a consideration make sure you do some measurements before you buy. You might be better off with a wall mounted bar (more $$$, takes up more space) or a freestanding pull up bar (more $$$ and takes up floor space).

Sturdy construction. Easy assembly. Suspect the foam on the handles might compress after use. Bargain.
