Early this year I watched a webinar that caught my attention because it linked “faith” to “fitness”. Kim Dolan Leto was one of the speakers. As a highly trained person in the Sciences of Exercise and Nutrition, I have had the head knowledge for years on the “how to’s” of being physically fit. But for all of my life (I am almost 50), there has been enough of a disconnect that I, within my own power, have not been able to maintain a physically fit body. Kim made the connection for me that day in her presentation that I had been missing–God must power the my renewal of my mind so that I can let Him transform my body!I bought her book, “F.I.T. Faith Inspired Transformation” THAT very day!! She has been gifted with a writing style that makes you feel like she is right there with you cheering you on. She makes it clear that relying on God for your strength is the only way to succeed. She writes from the heart; but, with authoritative knowledge of the body, nutrition and exercise. I love this book! Kim is so relatable in sharing her own story of how God inspired her own transformation. And mind you, it’s not just a transformation of the body she’s speaking of, but of the heart, mind and soul as well. She asks the reader to invite Jesus to their table and let Him be their guide in all they do. She shows us how to practically apply principles found in the God’s Word to the stewardship of our bodies. It’s nothing new because it’s all wisdom from God’s Word and that is the beauty of it! I plan to review it often along side my Bible to keep me on track with my health goals. She also has an amazing podcast “Strong. Confident. His.” that I love to binge listen to while doing chores.

Well, here it is.My wonderful sister in Christ Kim Dolan Leto has written this amazing book on how to be “Healthy, Happy and Fit God’s Way” through F.I.T. (Faith Inspired Transformation). The one thing her book IS NOT is a new “diet program!” We are “fearfully and wonderfully made” by God. Seeing myself as God sees me definitely alleviates the pressures of this world to “be perfect” or someone God has not called me to be. This is about transforming myself from the inside out…through the word and food of God.I am truly inspired and empowered by Kim’s testimony and transparency. Must have if you want faith and fitness combined.
I am currently reading this book to tie my faith to my fitness. I have struggled with my weight for years. I successfully competed six week programs losing about 20lbs each time but only to gain it all back. Kim’s book teaching me how to see health and fitness God’s way and not the world’s way anymore. I want my fitness to be more than just looking good, I want it to be evidence of God’s transforming process in me. As I read this book that is exactly what I am learning and I am very thankful for this book. Thank you Kim!
