    Great gift for runner
Purchased for my runner son. He loves the fit and accuracy. Using for a few weeks and it’s durable and works well for his long runs. Great gift for the runner in your life.

Durable, high quality, easy to use HRM without a bunch of extra metrics
I debated about which HRM to get and ultimately decided on this one. I am a cyclist primarily and currently don’t do any other sports. I really liked being able to remove the unit to rinse or wash the band as needed. I’ve been using it for about 3 weeks now and I have consistently had reliable, stable connections (I connect it to both Zwift through Apple TV and my Garmin Edge 540). When I am not on the bike I am wearing my Fenix, so I haven’t tried connecting it to my phone yet. It’s so incredibly easy to set up and each time I put on the strap it connects automatically without even pressing any buttons. The strap and unit feel solid and high quality. I have a feeling I will be using this for a long time.

    Great HR monitor
Love this HR monitor. Way more accurate than my Fitbit. I didn’t know what app to pair the monitor with at first. Took quite a bit of searching online. Eventually I found that it works great with the Polar app. Tracks different heart rate zones throughout the workout and saves them. Would definitely buy this again if needed.

    Good product
Works good. Seems a little inaccurate when sweaty and jogging. But connects quickly to phone and apps and was easy to setup.

Finally a Truly Premium HR Monitor From Garmin
Finally Garmin has figured it out. Yes, this is a great HR monitor. The belt feels premium. The sensor is detachable from the belt (once again). The sensor actually has an activation button and light to confirm it’s active – no guessing before it connects to a device. And yes, it’s very sensitive. Again, I think they finally have figured out how to produce “the” premium HR monitor.

Accuracy for Those with a Low Heart Rate
For folks with a low heart rate, Garmin is the only accurate product I’ve owned that is accurate. I’ve worn Apple watches for years and have owned a few Wahoo HRMs in the past. Both of those products measure double my heart rate from time to time. Garmin never has that problem! They don’t last forever under heavy use, as I’ve had to get a new one every couple of years, but Garmin is worth it.

    Upgraded Garmin HRM
An upgrade to their former HRM with unnecessary capabilities. Pros: works and syncs well with my Garmin bicycle computer and the data and corresponding software update gives more meaningful HR data. Cons: I didn’t want the new encrypted data feature which increased the unit cost.

Great replacement for my old HRM as this had stopped working after about 8 years service, the XL is a good size for me as I’m on the large size. It also has the coding option which may become necessary in the future but not using at the moment
