Customers say

Customers find the activity tracker great for kids, particularly 7-year-olds, and appreciate its step tracking capabilities. The device's functionality and ease of setup receive mixed feedback – while some say it works well and is easy to use, others report it stops working after a month and find it not intuitive. The quality and durability are also mixed, with some describing it as a good quality watch while others say it's poorly made, and while some find it semi-durable, others report the band breaking within a month. Moreover, the sync ability is problematic as the device won't pair with the app, and battery life is inconsistent, with some units holding a charge for over 10 days while others stop charging after a month.

    Great Product
Was given one as a Christmas Gift four years ago. I am hard on watches and it held up good. After four years it stopped working shortly after swimming. I figure beating on the watch I likely had a small crack in it and it ruined everything. Bought another Versa 2 for myself and a friend. We both love them and are extremely happy. Works well for tracking my bd;proes burned, steps taken, heart rate, and sleep. My only complaint with the sleep tracking is it counts hours you wake up repeatedly due to a restless night as sleep time but then break it down to clarify. Example it might say you got 6 hours of sleep but were awake 3 hours of it.

Decent upgrades to the best kid’s tracker out there!
*April 2022 update at the end*We’ve had this Fitbit Ace 3 since launch, and I’d like to point out a few of the upgrades when compared to the Fitbit Ace 2:- More rounded / Curved shape, seems like it would feel more comfortable to wear. The part to tuck in the strap is also better, strap doesn’t come out as often if your kid had that issue- Better screen – the animations and display look better- Longer battery life. It is now 8 days instead of 6, and the battery noticeably lasts much longer- New animated faces (a few), with apparently Minion licensed content and straps coming soon- No more one button on the left. Both left and right side have these two touch sensors which can be used for going back to the menu or activating the water lock- Waterproofing has been improved to a depth of 50m, but if your kid is going for a swim, they’ll have to turn on the water lock (long press of both sensors, and then double tap screen when it asks you to)- Still connects seamlessly with the Fitbit app and kids view mode etc.- BIGGEST UPGRADE: Fitbit has since the last 2-3 years moved to bad charging connectors in my opinion, the old Alta 2 ones were the best. The Ace 2 and Inspire use magnetic chargers made of plastic but they don’t hold well. With the Ace 3, they’ve added two clips that hold the charger in place. Not sure if other new fitbit chargers have this, but this is a big upgrade from the old Ace 2 charger which was not easy to hold in placeAll in all, neat upgrades to the best kids tracker out there, at the same price point as before!July 2021 update: as promised, Fitbit has updated the app to include new Minion animated faces! Kid loves it, thanks! :)April 2022 update: alright guys, the Fitbit Ace 3 that we have is going strong. Through sports, getting wet, and the daily wear and tear of a 6 year old. But CHECK THIS.. the battery life is just INCREDIBLE. This Ace 3 holds charge for 3-4 weeks easily. Easily. I’m curious to hear other peoples experience as we have a day one device, but I’m just blown away. They said the battery life was upgraded to 8 days, but going almost a month without charge is just amazing. Well done, Fitbit. Well done.

DOES NOT WORK WITH APPLE DEVICES FOR MANY PEOPLE
This product has the worst set-up process in the history of products. Google apparently bought Fitbit and merged Fitbit with Google a few months ago (writing this in August 2023). Your child has to have a Google account that is supervised by your account through Google’s Family Link app. That is an annoying process, but it’s doable. I did all that like you’re supposed to, but then when I went to pair my child’s iPad with the Fitbit ace three, I got an error message saying that it could not work because my son’s account was supervised. But if you remove supervision through FamilyLink, then the app no longer recognizes the child’s Google account as a child’s, rather than an adult’s, and you get an error message in the Fitbit app saying please login with your child’s account— even though I WAS logged in with my child’s account. A quick Google search reveals that this problem is well-documented going back to at least June 2023. I spoke to two different Fitbit customer service representatives, both of whom were familiar with this problem, but neither of whom had a solution. One told me that it might start working in a few hours or a few days, and there was really no rhyme or reason. When I called back later, the second person said they would escalate it, but that they didn’t know the solution. Waiting to hear back. I found posts by other people online who ran into the same problem, and people using Apple devices seemed to be uniformly unable to get it to work, while android people were able to get it to work if they jump through the right hoops. I bought this as a birthday gift for my 10 year old, and was trying to set it up the night before his birthday. Epic disaster. DO NOT BUY THIS UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO ROLL THE DICE.

Great Size for 7y.o. Girl w/ Slim Build
I was looking for a replacement for a Garmin Vivo Fit 2 after it failed. We’ve only had it in service a few days, but my daughter really likes it (she likes the ability to switch to the Minon watch face, and we’ve had some “steps” competitions). I purchased this watch as some of the other kids watches are extremely oversized in my opinion. I also like the simplicity of this watch’s design and functions. My daughter was intuitively able to understand how to navigate through the functions right out of the box.The watch connected to the smartphone app right away and syncing has worked every time without issue. I think this is one of the best options on the market based on compact size (sized appropriately for smaller wrists), functions (we didn’t want a true “smart watch”, or even one that pretends to be a smart watch), brand name/durability, and price.IMO kids of this age don’t need additional exposure to screens or games. Make them go do physical play and use their imaginations. The main features we wanted were something that could show the time, a step counter, and a timer. My daughter uses the timer to make sure she’s getting her daily reading minutes in and this allows her to be more autonomous when doing this.I do wish there were more band styles available though. For example, I wish there were stretchy silicone/rubber bands like there were for the Vivo Fit 2. Maybe they are available and I just haven’t found them yet.

My child absolutely loves it and wears it everyday. it’s such a good way for my child to track their everyday activities and we can have a competition to see who does more steps they always win.Battery life lasts a good few days maybe more over a week.Took a couple of days to for them to figure out how it all works. But once they got used to its functionality they were good to go.Would definitely recommend.
