This day pack feels Lighter when it is on and filled – than when I lift it alone by hand !
What is amazing is the day pack feels Lighter when it is on and filled – than when I lift it alone by hand !Likely due to well thought out and tested fit. Great start !Many good features for the price – especially when compared to competitors that cost $100 more !Description is not clear or comprehensive, so let me try to add something useful –Has Hip belt with (slightly too small pockets). All straps are nicely adjustable.I need shoulder-strap-pockets – but will have to get add-ons from another manufacturer.Has pocket for Hydration which can also be used for a Laptop. I was hoping for 2 separate pockets for water and laptop – but for the price – I’ll live with it.Several other pockets internally. One can be used for quickly needed or valuable stuff – but its too small to handle a large wallet and much else.Good zippers.Has a separate water proof bag for wet clothes. Bag is not attached so it can be put in either large main gear pouches.Obligatory Whistle works – but is anemic & doesn’t work if you blow too hard.Recommended.

Great overnight sized backpack at a great price
I was very excited about this backpack as I needed a reasonably priced back pack sized between 2 of my hydration day packs and my full sized metal frame 65 liter backpack. I was looking for something that would easily carry a days load for camping (or long overnight hikes) and this fit the bill in terms of price and size (about 22 by 14 by 10 inches packed) . I was very impressed upon opening the package by the light weight yet durable fabric. It’s not ultra thick which saves weight but yet is perfect for the loads I’m carrying, which would typically be a full days change, a sleeping bag, battery pack, flashlights, some food, snacks and a hydration pack. You can easily secure hiking poles to this pack as well. A hydration pack is not included, but is not expected at this price point, I plan on using 1 or 2 from my other packs, depending on the trip. A zipped water resistant toiletry sized pack is included and is a nice touch. The backpack has 2 large zipped compartments, with the rear, larger compartment having the most padding and a large interior pocket. As a storage test, I packed 2 sleeping bags in this compartment (pictured). You could add some padded cargo (e.g. clothing, towel) to the front most pocket if carrying a laptop or tablet (which I don’t plan on for this pack) in the thinner front zipped pocket. The rear zipped compartment has separate holes for headphones or a charging cable and one for the tube of a hydration bladder. There is also a small zipped pocket on the top and one on the bottom containing the rain cover (which can also be used for storage). There are lots of straps and pockets on this pack, including one on each of the hip belts (which I love for phones, wallets and keys). There are also lots of loops, both plastic and fabric for carabiners and attachments. There are 2 large side pockets that would comfortably fit very large water bottles, both come with straps for securing the cargo in those pockets. There are 2 cargo loops which can be used for securing a jacket or smaller sleeping bag as pictured, I would opt for this to save interior space for clothing and other items.Overall, I think this backpack is an excellent value and looks like it will last me on the trail and at the campsite, I look forward to taking this out with me soon and will update once it’s been field tested.

Very functional for a week of hiking
This backpack felt good while I was hiking last week. The waist straps are wide enough to provide good support without rolling and the zip pockets on those straps are really convenient to hold small items ( chapstick, motel key, car key, etc). The other pockets are very functional. The rain cover worked well during the daily rain showers. It was a good buy for my needs.

solid combination of durability and functionality, Survived Everest Basecamp Trek
The Maelstrom Hiking Backpack offers a solid combination of durability and functionality for outdoor adventures. With its spacious compartments and multiple pockets, it provides ample storage for gear, while the adjustable straps ensure a comfortable fit. The bag is made from sturdy, water-resistant material, making it suitable for various weather conditions. However, the overall weight of the pack can feel heavy when fully loaded. While it delivers good value for the price, the comfort and fit may not be as customizable as higher-end models. Overall, it’s a reliable choice for casual hikers and day trips.

Perfect for shorter trips!
This is a good quality backpack, that looks great too. It’s just about max size for airline carry-on, but because it’s not a firm suitcase, ground crew generally allow it as a carry-on item, especially if you show that it can be compressed (e.g. soft goods, like clothing inside). It’s lightweight and adjustable to fit most adults. I like the color and design too. This backpack traveled with me to a few EU countries and South Africa since I purchased it. Nice product!

True to color, lots of added pockets and features. Seems to be a good value for what all you get.
Backpack is a bit larger than what I expected but I am alright with it. It has quite a few hidden pockets and extra features (the emergency whistle on the upper buckle is a great addition) and the color matches what I expected from the images. The side pockets seem to be a good size for smaller items you want access to and it is surprisingly light weight for everything it has built into it. The tucked away rain cover was a nice addition, but it isn’t exactly what I thought it would look like but it will work for that purpose. I have not yet tested it in the field as it was ordered on Prime day (and delivered same day!). Overall I am happy with the purchase for the price.

Pas conçu pour avoir du poids, a peine 10lbs et la gance a commencé a découdre , le soutien du dos était “cassé” et restait même plein , très inconfortable ! Mais très pratique plusieurs pochettesMoi j ai du le retourner .

Perfect bag for hiking through the Borneo jungle. It’s cheap but did the job admirably, i was carrying 11kg of water and stuff and it worked superbly. Don’t hesitate. The price point is fantastic.

Keine Kaufempfehlung.
