Our Recommendations
This tent is highly recommended for families or groups of 4-6 people who prioritize space and comfort for car camping trips in fair to moderate weather conditions. The 8-person rating is best utilized by smaller groups to allow ample room for gear and air mattresses. For optimal performance, we suggest a practice setup in your backyard before your first trip and applying a seam sealer for extra protection against heavy rain.
Conclusion
The CAMPROS CP 8-Person Tent is an excellent choice for families and casual camping groups seeking a reliable and feature-rich shelter. Its strengths in space, ventilation, and privacy make it stand out in its category. While not built for extreme weather, it offers outstanding value and comfort for weekend getaways and campground adventures, ensuring a pleasant outdoor experience for everyone.

Great tent that held up well in bad weather.
We took this tent on a summer camping trip, and overall, it exceeded our expectations. We had two adults and three kids (all under nine years old) in it, and there was plenty of space for everyone to sleep comfortably. If you’ve ever crammed multiple kids into a tent before, you know how quickly things can start to feel tight, but that wasn’t an issue here. There was enough room for everyone’s sleeping bags, a few small bags, and still some space to move around. One of the biggest tests for any tent is how well it holds up in bad weather, and this one faced a full day and night of summer rainstorms. To its credit, it did an excellent job keeping us dry. The rainfly did its job, and we didn’t experience any leaks from above. However, the bottom of the tent wasn’t 100% waterproof, and we did notice a little moisture seeping through. Granted, a small river carved it’s way under our tent, it did a really good job for the conditions. It wasn’t enough to ruin the trip, but it’s something to keep in mind. I’d definitely recommend using a tarp underneath the tent for extra protection, especially if rain is in the forecast.Setup was relatively easy. Like most modern tents, it follows a standard design with flexible poles and clips, so getting it up and ready didn’t take long. One person could probably set it up solo with a little patience, but having two people made it much faster.Ventilation was another strong point. Even in humid summer weather, we didn’t feel overly stuffy inside. The mesh panels allowed for good airflow while still keeping the bugs out—something I really appreciated when trying to get the kids settled at night.Overall, this tent did exactly what we needed it to do. It kept us dry (aside from the minor ground moisture issue), fit our family comfortably, and was easy to set up and take down. If you’re looking for a reliable summer tent and don’t mind adding a tarp underneath for extra protection, this one is a great choice.

Very Spacious and Easy to Assemble
For the price, the size of this tent is massive. Family of five was able to get a queen and a full in there with plenty of room to store our gear and walk around. The color-coded poles makes it pretty easy to assemble. By myself, from unzipping the carrying bag to walking inside was about 15 minutes. It should be noted however, that I didn’t use the instructions. While researching this tent, many of the review videos were also assembly videos, so I already had a grasp as to what goes where and how. It does require a little patience as the main rod across the top could be troublesome for one person. Two people can easily do it in under 10 minutes. As with all tents, make sure the rods are evenly spaced within the sleeves or you’ll risk snapping them.We also caught a pretty good rainstorm during our trip. A 10 minute downpour from a storm that was just under severe limits due to wind (no hail). Tent held up pretty good. It shook a lot, but we never got wet and the tent wasn’t damaged. The last tent we had in the exact same spot, the wind pulled up some the stakes and the tent collapsed. However, it’s not a perfect tent (then again, short of spending $500+, what is?). It has five zippered windows – two in the front straddling the door, two on the sides, and the one on the door itself. Better windflow would have had one in the back instead of the two extra in the front, especially if you have the privacy screen up – then the wind just comes in and swirls around. Also, it doesn’t have a “porch” where you can remove your shoes before entering – we either had to step in and remove our shoes or remove them outside and risk dirty feet/socks. Lastly, it will take you longer to get the tent back in that tiny carrying case than it is to assemble and disassemble it. We just went to walmart and bought a small duffle bag and put the tent and all accessories in it for storage.Overall, a pretty good tent. Would definitely recommend for at the very least casual camping.

Great tent
Great tent for a family or a large group. Made from high-quality and durable material. Tested in wind and rain — it doesn’t leak. Easy to set up; it’s faster with two people, but one person can handle it as well. The windows have mesh screens that provide excellent ventilation while keeping insects out. The tent can accommodate up to 8 people, just as recommended by the manufacturer. I would definitely recommend this tent to a family, a large group, or anyone who simply wants some extra space. The tent is well worth the money.

Almost perfect tent!
Just went on a weekend camping trip with my buddies, and this tent performed very well! We had pop up sever thunderstorms 2/3 days but it never budged and the rain fly did its job. The inside space is bigger than you would think and could easily fit 3 queen air mattresses inside along with other things needing to stay dry. The materials seem pretty durable. Ground tarp inside doesn’t even really need a footprint underneath. The only things I wish were different…I wish there was a second door but just having the one door didn’t hinder or inconvenience us at all. The rainfly could have a little better design, but performed very well and didn’t allow any water in. I wish there was a little more distance between outside and the floor whenever you open the door, as rain got in very easily any time we needed to go out and made it a muddy mess at the entrance, but still not a big inconvenience for us at all. I can put this tent up or take it down in about 15-20 mins without any help, including having the rainfly over it. The only other thing is I wish the windows and cover were a bit bigger for when you have the windows down, so there might be better airflow when the rainfly is on. Quick fix with a portable fan but just a heads up on the airflow. Very simple setup and great quality tent, especially for the price!

This tent is a regular tent with the poles, detached that you put together and then clip the tent to. Not a pop up!!

FINGER WEG. Richtig schlecht. Von Qualität kann man nicht sprechen. Stoff zu dünn, reißt sofort. Finger weg.
