Our Recommendations
We recommend this mat for beginners in yoga or Pilates who need extra support and confidence as they learn poses. It is also an excellent choice for individuals with sensitive joints (knees, back, or wrists) who find standard mats too thin. Its thick padding makes it ideal for static holds, restorative yoga, and general floor exercises like crunches and planks. While perfect for comfort, advanced yogis seeking maximum ground-feel for balance poses might prefer a thinner option.
Conclusion
The CAP Barbell High-Density Mat is an outstanding choice for users who prioritize comfort and joint protection. Its significant thickness provides excellent cushioning for a wide range of floor exercises, while the non-slip surface and included strap add fantastic practical value. Although its thickness can be a drawback for certain balance poses and it may be short for taller users, its supportive and comfortable design makes it a top-tier option for beginners, restorative practices, and general fitness enthusiasts.

Thick Enough for Concrete Floors!
I have concrete floors in my room, and this workout mat makes it so that I can exercise on the ground. I’ve had the purple one with the knee pad for about two months now, and have used it up to 3-4 times a week. It does have some subtle signs of wear in the center, but overall it’s holding up well. I roll it up to stow under my bed every time after use, and I have no problem with the mat flattening out when I use it again. I do have to be careful not to let it sit on sharp box edges or corners because it leaves dents in the memory foam, but that fixes itself by simply moving it off whatever is poking it. The strap makes it easy to roll up and store. I find that I don’t need to use the knee pad because it is comfortable enough without it, but the knee pad is convenient if I don’t want to take the whole mat out. I’ve only ever used it barefoot, and my only gripe is that my feet make an annoying sticky sound when I lift them off the mat! Fortunately I can just move off the mat for exercises that involve stepping. It is not too flat and is comfortable enough to lay on: firm yet squishy. I even used it soon after bruising my knee and felt okay on my hands and knees.

Comfortable Mat
Mat is comfortable. Foam is thick, provides good cushion when on hardwood floors. Also comes with knee pads

Great mat, strap not so much
Mat is wonderful! The carry strap is aggravating. Poor quality elastic rings on either side of the handle. When it is carried, the mat falls out. I even tried sewing the elastic to make it smaller. That didn’t work well.

Great knee pads
Bought these to support my knees while doing outdoor work. As a bigger and taller guy I had little exceptions, but was pleasantly surprised at how well it held me.

I love this one the best
This one is comfortable and nice and long. The material is very durable. It stretches out nicely. There is no slip either. Also very easy to transport.

it can get dented really easily, but it does the job. i have the boniest knees and i don’t feel any pain doing floor exercises now. i still use a sturdier mat for certain standing exercises like lunges because this is very foamy

Comfortable and extra knee pad is a bonus. I like the extra length and colour too.

Its a yoga mat, not sure what else to say. Its fairly thick, so nice cushioning effect. Price was decent.

It’s very comfortable but has a strong smell of rubber that is still there after almost a month. Wish I knew that before because I am sensitive to smells. Otherwise good
