I think that this is the book to read, and obtain necessary information!
I think that this is the book to obtain good knowledge and find all necessary information to succeed! What truly sets this book apart is its accessibility. The promise of “flexible 30-minute workouts” is genuinely delivered, making strength training feel manageable and less daunting for those new to it or returning after a break. The author understands that time is precious and designs routines that are effective without requiring hours in the gym. Beyond just exercises, the book thoughtfully addresses the specific concerns of women over 50. The focus on improving mobility is crucial and often overlooked in other beginner guides. By incorporating exercises that enhance flexibility and range of motion, the book empowers readers to move with greater ease and reduce the risk of injury – a significant benefit as we age.

Well written and illustrated guide to at-home strength training.
This is a great guide to at-home strength training using minimal equipment. Although the target age range is for 50+ women, it is actually pretty applicable for anyone who is more interested in flexibility and muscle tone rather than in simply “bulking up.” The pictures were extremely helpful as this enables anyone unaccustomed to a certain exercise to see how it is done, including proper posture. Really good guide.

Great descriptions
There were many things I liked about this book. I liked the descriptions of the exercises, the pictures, that not every is going to start at the same place or be able to do everything alike, and it’s okay to just be you. The only thing I would have liked to see, are what baby steps one could do to get ready to do these exercises since I haven’t done exercises other than walking and life for a long time and I’m in my late 60s. I understand the importance of it though and learned a lot in this book. I would recommend it especially for those who have been doing any kind of exercise and would like to start or progress on their strength training.

Great book, covers what women of a certain age need to get started
This book covers all that you need to know to start a positive routine with great benefits. It is a known fact that strength training is the best workout for women in menopause, but most of us either don’t like the thought of serious weight training or don’t know where to start. This book helps with that, as it shows you where to start and how to progress, and it’s not difficult or intimidating to follow this routine. I like the fact that it’s includes some basic self-assessment tests at the beginning which you can return to to help assess your progress. I also like the fact that it has modifiers for different levels of fitness. Finally I like the fact that it addresses in nonsense terms a lot of the extras, diet in terms of what to eat and when in relation to your workout, supplements, etc. Also it is a routine that does not require much equipment, which makes it a lot easier for most of us. Thank you for writing this book.

A wealth of information!
There is so much information packed into this book! I appreciate the many topics that are touched upon for women over 50 especially. I found the exercises very easy to understand and follow. I love that the author provides daily routines to follow, and also that she explains in detail how to perform each exercise safely. It hasn’t taken long at all to notice an increase in my strength so it makes me want to continue exercising because I definitely feel better. There are also great nutrition tips and different methods of exercising which were very helpful. This book is full of easy to read (and understand) information and I will be referring to it often.

Basic information
The book is very easy to read. I finished the book while walking on my treadmill. It is very basic, definitely designed for the beginner. With that being said, it is very detailed on each exercise. My only complaint would be that it would be nice to have all the exercises in one area, so you don’t have to go thru the whole book to find them. Being that the book digital, I guess you can print up those pages and make your own program. It does also have some good basic nutritional information.
