Fantastic Hiking Boots.
Let me start out by saying that while I am not much of an avid hiker, these are by far my favorite shoes. I wear them multiple days a week just because they’re so comfortable and I like the look. They do tend to run small. I normally wear a men’s size 8.5 and when I received those and tried them on, I immediately sent them back and ordered a half-size larger. Those size 9s fit perfectly. These shoes/boots are durable. I’ve had them now for about 4 years and they STILL look great. The soles have good traction and they do repel water pretty well. I haven’t hiked down the middle of a stream, but I have stepped through them and my feet stayed dry. For rainy days, they work great. Arch support is good as well. I have high arches and often have to swap out the insole to something with more support. Not so with these.Overall, these are great boots. When you consider the price for what you get, they are fantastic. I really have no idea why I waited so long to review them, but here you go. I own the mid-height and am just now purchasing another pair in the low-height. Highly recommended.

Good Purchase
These Merrell Men’s Moab 2 Mid Waterproof Hiking Boots got me through last week’s trip to Yosemite National Park. I didn’t really get a chance to break them in before we left. I have wide feet and high arches, but they fit perfectly and did the job. I didn’t slip and fall, crash and burn, face plant, wipeout or make a complete fool of myself on any of the trails. And my feet didn’t hurt after 3 days of hiking. Socks? I recommend these Genuine Dickies Stay Dry, Anti-Blister Protection Nano Glide Steel Toe Performance Work Socks (see attached photo). Overall, I’m very pleased with the Moab boots. It was a good purchase.

Great footwear
My go-to boot for working in the yard. Good traction, lightweight and breathable. They didn’t require any breaking in and were instantly comfortable to wear.

Good but short laces.
I swore I’d never buy Merrell again after premature failure of the previous sets of boots but I still like the style, they are comfortable and affordable. I’ve had these for almost three months now and although they don’t have many miles on them, I do like them very much. They were comfortable out of the box.My one complaint is that the laces are too short (52”) to get a good double knot in. I swapped them out for a pair of recycled laces (likely my old Merrell’s because they look almost identical) that are 60” long and that was what these boots needed.

Would recommend
Very comfortable right out of the box. Traction is good. I wear a 10.5 EE. Size is true. Seems to be a good value of hiking boot for the money.

Comfy on a long walk
I prefer the non WP version. I get about a year’s use out of a pair but I go on walks for 5 miles each day and one 10 miler a week. They hold up well whether on a hard surface or gravel. I will buy again.

Wow love these shoes!!!
Had this pair for a few days and I am VERY happy with the quality fit and comfort. I live in an area with clay soil. When it rains the dirt turns to gue and sticks to your shoes. The tread design makes it super easy to take a hose and wash off the dirt. My wife really likes this feature. Great shoes.

using Merrell shoe for trekking for many years; usually i buy at the shop; this time no shop had it and hence ordered on-line and it is not as wide as i expected or previous shoes which did not even have “wide” on the box. Next time need to order one size bigger i guess and hope present ones expand a bit after using few times and break-in

I walk A LOT on both pavement and woodland terrain for up to 10 hours and do it frequently and this is currently the only brand i can trust to not become mushy or fall apart. The sole is very supportive for a very long usage, it will not move around, become detached or let go of the surface cloth like other shoes always do with wear. I have kicked chunks of ice, bonfire logs, rocks, scraped the shoes on forest wood and the stitching and whatever glue holds up. The suede-ish finish feels very nice to the touch and cleans off surprisingly easy for a textured surface. The rubber on the bottom of the shoe takes much longer to wear down than other brands. I am on my 3rd pair of MOAB hiking boots, 2nd pair of running shoes and 1st pair of insulated boots from Merrel and all are impressive in terms of support and durability. The shoelaces are back to being the good kind now, my last MOABs had unacceptable shoelaces and now they switched back to the more durable ones that also don’t come undone. The only thing peculiar I ever noticed about the newer MOAB boots compared to the style about 5 years ago is that the toe now has mesh directly on the top which lets more water in during rain or even being kicked up from a wet ground. The older style had a strip of leather straight down the middle with mesh on the sides and the old toe style kept my feet notably drier. Still the best shoe brand for heavy walkers and hikers so far

サイズは思っていたより小さかったけれど、軽くて履き心地は良いです。同じサイズでもメーカーによってこんなに違うんですね。
