I really like James’s books, and although this one isn’t necessarily something I would read, it was the fact that it was something I could read and learn about for my 83 year old mother.Mum’s recently been told she could do with losing a few pounds, but due to old age and mobility issues, going for walks or a gym is simply out of the question. This book was the answer! I downloaded it onto a kindle so mum could not only read, but see pictures, and the animations which were key as I can’t always be there to show her what to do. It’s really well written, and lays everything out so it’s easy to follow and incorporate into everyday life. All in all this is another fantastic exercise book by James, and it’s nice to find ones aimed at those less mobile, or for the older generation. My mum absolutely loves it! Highly recommended!

I was looking for some basic chair exercises for movement for a senior person, which the book most definitely has. For now, a few exercises from the exercise list are all we need (written down on the routine cards provided). But theres a lot more food for thought and progression advice in this book to use in the future.Happy with the info, good exercise pictures and descriptions. A well put together workout book.

I love this authors books. He always explains everything in ways that are easy to understand. This book is amazing for older people, who don’t fancy the gym anymore or too poorly for a vigious workout, however this book is still very good to learn new exercises. Very useful if on holiday and don’t have a gym. Thanks James

For me there’s lot of choice here, but the format makes it easy to pick the right workout. Starting with a rehab workout, but then planning to move to an all over strength program. Looking forward to getting started on this.A nice touch to this guide is the links to the exercises. They are gifs, so you can watch the movement for as long as you need to. Really helps to see how the exercises work.
